We went to our niece's birthday party on Friday night and had a ball. She turned 16 and had some friends over for a fun dinner and dance.
I love spending time with family. It's fun to see the kids grow up and be such awesome people. Rachel is a very good girl and I just adore her! She is so sweet and fun. It was a great time!
I had to kind of laugh at myself... Once the music started, I literally had to remind myself that I'm not 16 anymore. I loved the social part of being a teenager. My friends were so much fun and we always were the life of the party.
When the kids at Rachel's party were slow to start dancing, I couldn't help but think of all of the youth dances I went to with my friends and how much we would have loved a party like her birthday bash. We would have danced from the second we walked in until the music finally stopped playing. Until the adults were kicked out of this party, I enjoyed watching the kids and it gave me a chance to reflect on my great memories with amazing people.
Megan and Ben enjoyed hanging out with their cousin, Mike, who was the designated DJ for the dance. His selections were a hit with the kids!
Cheesy, yes. But Mike's great!
It's fun to feel like a kid again!
tara! i miss you!!!! when can we do lunch again! :)
